Description |
Rectangular cardboard display board mounted with two posters. The poster on the left is entitled, "Don't Quit" and consists of a handwritten poem signed by Adrienne Sealy in black ink, with the title printed in black. The poster is on blue paper and has a printed foliage border. Handwritten in the bottom right corner is the text, "To Tracye: / Love always, / Adrienne / V. / Sealy / 1977". The poster on the right is entitled, "Garden of Success" and consists of a passage from Adrienne Sealy about the importance of positive thinking with a black and white photographic image of Sealy below. The poster is on yellow paper, the text is printed in black, and there is a black border of leaves and a bird. The front of the board is covered in wood design contact paper and clear plastic which is taped at the back. This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
