Diary of Lewis Cass White, August 26 to September 17, 1861. Tan leather cover. Diary is handwritten in black ink. Inside front cover has 3 stamps with White's name and unit in a triangle formation. "Co. H" is handwritten vertically. "John Kattenbaugh" is handwritten at the top of the inside front cover. The diary documents White's journey to Washington D.C., his training and sightseeing. |
