Description |
Rectangular cardboard display board mounted with a poster entitled, "Outstanding Asian-Americans of the 20th Century". The poster consists of color drawings of eleven men and women on the right with their names in black text below, and a brief biography of them on the left side. The drawings are of June Kuramoto, I. M. Pei, Connie Chung, Haing Ngor, Jose Aruego, Daniel K. Inouye, Samuel C. C. Ting, Myung-Whun Chung, Maxine Hong Kingston, Ellison S. Onizuka, and Michael Chung. The poster has a red border and the text is in black ink, with the title in yellow. The poster was produced by Creative Teaching Press, Inc. The front of the board is covered in clear plastic which is taped at the back. This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
