Description |
Rectangular cardboard display board mounted with a poster entitled, "Before The War". The poster consists of a black and white photographic image of a street scene in the Jewish quarter of Warsaw, Poland in 1938. There is a caption at the bottom of the poster which begins, "Most Jews lived in segregated Jewish sections of Eastern European cities, / towns and villages…" The title is in white text on a black background at the bottom of the poster. The poster is part of an exhibition series on the Holocaust that was produced and distributed by the Anti-Defamation League of B'nai B'rith. The poster is marked number "5". The front of the board is covered in clear plastic which is taped at the back. This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
