Description |
Rectangular foamcore display board with a color photograph of William D. Euille and a letter on cream paper with a City of Alexandria letterhead. The letter announced Euille's appointment as Mayor and gives a brief biography. Euille was the first African American Mayor in Alexandria, VA. The documents are affixed to the board with brown tape and the board is edged in brown tape. The front of the board is covered in wood design contact paper and clear plastic which is taped at the back. The back of the board is covered in the original paper label describing the use of the Hunt brand repositionable mounting board. This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
