Description |
Handmade fabric doll with jointed arms attached with buttons and sewn legs which may have previously been similarly joined. The doll wears a three-tiered skirt constructed from different patterned fabrics with a patterned top and a red and white checkered fabric head scarf, cream colored underwear and a cream apron with the handwritten text, "Bermuda" at the waistband. Her facial features are painted onto the fabric. The doll has a straw basket on its head and beads attached with threads for earrings (proper left bead missing). This doll was probably made for the tourist market. |
