Rectangular cardboard display board mounted with two pages from a calendar entitled, "1978 Calendario de Grande Atletas Mexicanos / Mexicanos-Americanos: 1978 Calendar of Great Mexican / Mexican-American Athletes". The two pages consist of a color photographic image of an athlete with additional contextual drawings in the background, and a brief biography in Spanish and English. The page on the left is for golfer Al Espinosa and on the right for tennis player Rafael Osuna. The pages are affixed to the board with green tape. The front of the board is covered in wood design contact paper and clear plastic which is taped at the back. This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
