Rectangular cardboard display board mounted with six posters of Native Americans. The posters consist of a color photographic image or drawing with the person's name, tribe and a brief biography below in black text on an orange background. The posters are for R. C. Gorman, N. Scott Momaday, Sakokwenonkwas, Stand Watie, Floyd Westerman, and Sitting Bull. The posters are part of a series entitled, "North American Indian Personalities" produced by The Instructor Publications, Inc., in 1980. The posters are affixed to the board with green tape. The front of the board is covered in clear plastic and the back is covered in wood design contact paper. This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
