Rectangular cardboard display board mounted with black and white photographs of Congresswoman Patsy T. Mink and Congressman Norman Y. Mineta, and five printed documents of biographical information about them. Mink was a Congresswoman for Hawaii and Mineta was a Congressman for California who as a child was held in a Japanese-American prison camp during World War II. The Mink photograph has the handwritten text, "Aloha! / Patsy T. Mink". The documents were affixed to the board with black tape. The front and back of the board are covered in wood design contact paper and the front is also covered in clear plastic. This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
