Description |
Program for the Alexandria Branch of the NAACP's 76th Annual Life Membership and Awards Banquet, at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center, on October 25, 2009. The front cover of the program (a) has fourteen black and white photographs depicting individuals, such as President Barack Obama, and events, such as the March on Washington. A blue banner across the middle has "100" in gold with seal of the NAACP as the two zeroes, and the white text, "Celebrating a Century," below. The program includes a calendar of events, biographies of the awards recipients, a brief history of the Alexandria Branch of the NAACP, a list of life members, and messages of support and sponsorship from individuals, groups, organizations and businesses. A document (b) inside the program gives information for the Society for the Preservation of Black Heritage. |
