Rectangular cardboard display board mounted with a poster entitled, "100 Ways to Say Yes to Life and No to Violence!" The poster consists of black text on a white background that lists 100 positive behaviors, beginning with "1. Love yourself" and including "33. Visit a museum". The poster text was developed by schoolchildren as part of the Safe Schools Initiative which was a partnership between the US Department of Education and the District of Columbia Public School Center for Systemic Education Change. The board is edged in red tape. The front of the board is covered in clear plastic which is taped at the back. This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
