Rectangular cardboard display board mounted with a poster entitled, "Famous Hispanic Americans". The poster consists of a color drawing of famous Latinxs on the left and on the right black and white drawings of nine people with a brief biography below in both English and Spanish. There is also an introduction in English and Spanish. The drawings and biographies are of Roberto Clemente, Rita Moreno, Frank "Machito" Grillo, Luis Quero-Chiesa, Amalia Betanzos, Johnny Pacheco, Justino Diaz, Patrick F. Flores, and Herman Badillo. The poster was produced by R. J. Reynolds Industries, Inc. The front of the board is covered in clear plastic which is taped at the back. This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
