Rectangular wooden display board mounted with newspaper cutting entitled, "'Funn' Time at Tech", dated February 4, 1981. The article details Sherri Funn's success in breaking the U.S. Collegiate Record for the short sprint while competing for George Mason University at the Virginia Tech / Moving Comfort Invitational in Blacksburg, VA. The article includes a black and white image of Sherri Funn. The right side of the board is not parallel with the left side. The display board is covered in wood patterned contact paper and the front of the board is covered in plastic. Sherri Funn is Carlton Funn's niece. This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
