Rectangular cardboard display board mounted with two copies of a poster that consist of a diverse group of children with a rainbow in the background and the text, "multicultural / America". Also on this board is a document with the text, "Tell me, / I forget. / Show me, / I remember. / Involve me, / I understand." and a poster entitled, "10 Don'ts from your child". The poster consists of a numbered list of negative behaviors with the request to "don't" do them in black, red and yellow text. For example, "1 DON'T SPOIL ME." The board is edged in red tape and there is brown tape at the corners on the back of the board. The front and back of the board are covered in wood design contact paper and the front is also covered in clear plastic. This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
