Description |
Irregularly shaped cardboard display board mounted with six posters entitled, "A Rain Forest", "A Bushman Village", "A Safari in the Congo", "A Coffee Plantation in Kenya", "A Mission School in Ghana", and "The University of Khartoum". Each poster consists of a black and white photographic image, the title, the plate number, and a brief caption. The posters are numbered as plates 6, 22, 40, 28, 46, and 47. The posters are from a series entitled, "Africa" produced by Informative Classroom Picture of Grand Rapids, Michigan. The front of the board is covered in green card and the back is covered in blue plastic. There is a line of black tape at the right side of the board. The front of the board is covered in clear plastic which is taped at the back. It is possible that the black tape originally joined together the two boards B2019.1.851 and B2019.1.852. This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
