Description |
Woven throw blanket with black and white images of events from the Civil Rights Movement. The text lists boycotts, demonstrations and legislation. At the top and bottom of the blanket are two events in Rosa Parks' life, her 1955 bus activism and in 1999 receiving the Congressional Gold Medal. The edges of the blanket are fringed. The blanket is stapled to a wooden block along the top edge. This throw was owned by Carlton A. Funn Sr. |
