Program (a) for the unveiling of the Parker-Gray School Memorial Walkway ceremony at the Alexandria African American Hall of Fame, Charles Houston Recreation Center, on October 24, 2020. The purple/blue cover includes the dates "1920" and "2020" in yellow on either side of a 100th ANNIVERSARY logo. This refers to the 100th anniversary of the Parker-Gray School. The cover also includes an image of the school as part of the background in the lower third of the cover. The back cover has the school's name and the anniversary logo followed by the text "How far have we really come?" in yellow and white print. The program includes a brief history of the Parker-Gray School and its principals, a quiz, advertisements from sponsors, and a list of those who purchased a brick for the walkway. A separate leaflet (b) that was housed inside the program has information on purchasing a commemorative brick for the walkway. |
