Irregularly shaped cardboard display board mounted with four posters with two additional posters loose within the plastic covering of the board. The posters consist of a black and white drawing of events in the history of America with a title in black ink above. The posters are entitled, "79. Big Three Conferences Have Far-Reaching Effects, 1943-1945", "80. The Allies Establish a Normandy Beachhead, 1944", "81. U.S. Marines Raise the Flag at Iwo Jima, 1945", "82. The United Nations Tries to Ease World Tensions, 1945-????", "83. Berlin Airlift Eases Cold War Crisis, 1948-1949", and "84. A Korean Conflict Lasts Three Years, 1950-1953". The front of the board is covered in wood design contact paper and clear plastic which is taped at the back. Handwritten in black ink on the back of the board, "11." This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
