Rectangular cardboard display board mounted with a poster entitled, "I Remember Harlem, 1800-1920". The poster has a cream background and brown and black text. In the center of the poster are nine black and white and sepia toned photographic images and a map of Harlem. The images depict street scenes, a wedding, members of the professional African American theatre organization, "The Frogs", Madam C. J. Walker, Harlem's Spartan basketball team, and Sarah Oliver with a First World War veteran. The front of the board is covered in clear plastic which is taped at the back of the board. This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
