Description |
Rectangular cardboard display board entitled, "March Is National Women's History Month" and mounted with six posters of American women. The posters are for Gloria Steinem, Barbara Walters, Joan Ganz Cooney, Sandra Day O'Connor, Katharine Graham, and Eleanor Roosevelt. Each poster consists of a color photographic image with text below on a green or pink background. The woman's name is in red or black text, and a brief biography is in black text. The posters are part of a series entitled, "20th Century American Women" produced by The Instructor Publications, Inc. The front of the board is covered in red and blue card. The posters are affixed with metal studs. The front of the board is covered in clear plastic which is taped at the back of the board. This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
