Ceramic plate hand-painted with racist depiction of male and female Black figures. Both of the figures are dressed in aprons. The male figure holds a bowl and spoon and the female figure holds a bowl of eggs. The background is painted with green grass and flowers and a blue sky. The plate is marked "BAXE" on the reverse but is probably made by Saxe. |
