Black and white photograph of Lionel Hope and Annie B. Rose with City of Alexandria Mayor James P. Moran, Jr., for a dedication ceremony at the Ramada Inn, Seminary Plaza, Alexandria, on January 16, 1986. Rose holds a plaque engraved with the text, "LEWIS HENRY BAILEY" for the new refurbished and renamed meeting room suites. Handwritten in black ink on the reverse of the photograph is the text, "Ramada Inn - Seminary / Dedicates newly redecorated suites / to Alex preservationists / LR / Al Iannacone - manager / Lionel Hope / Annie Rose / (back) Floyd Kye (Rose's nephew) / Mayor / 'The Rev Louis [sic] Henry Bailey Suite' - Rose's father / who was sold to slavery at the Duke St. Slave / Market." |
