Description |
Handmade fabric doll with dress and underwear constructed of multiple strips of fabric including material with metallic thread. The facial features are painted onto the fabric. A green fabric headscarf is pinned into place as are elements of the dress. The doll has a straw basket on its head, also attached with a pin. A circle of white fabric with handwritten "Jamaica" is attached with a pin at the doll's waist. This doll was probably made for the tourist market. |
