Irregularly shaped cardboard display board mounted with a document that consists of a color image of the portrait of Sengbe Pieh, also known as Joseph Cinque, by Nathaniel Jocelyn in 1839, with a caption below which briefly describes Pieh's capture and release. The document is affixed to the board with metal staples. The front of the board is covered by clear plastic and the back is covered in blue plastic. This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
