The caption below the image reads, "The first residency program at Freedmen's was established in 1936 under the deanship of / Dr. Numa P. G. Adams. Today, Howard trains residents and interns in all medical / specialties and sub-specialties. Below the image is the title in black text "A Legacy of Excellence: / The Mission of / Howard University Hospital". The background of the poster is cream. A white round sticker with "9" in black is affixed to the poster on the bottom right corner. The front of the board is covered in clear plastic and the back is covered in wood design contact paper. This poster is part of a series on Howard University Hospital. This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
