Description |
Rectangular cardboard display board mounted with a poster entitled, "Trailblazers". The poster consists of ten color drawings of American men associated with western expansion, with their names, life dates and a brief explanation below. The drawings are for Zebulon Pike, Daniel Boone, James Beckwourth, Joseph Walker, John C. Fremont, Jedediah Smith, Jim Bridger, John Colter, Meriweather Lewis and William Clark, and Kit Carson. The title is in green text with a yellow background at the top of the poster. The poster was produced by Creative Teaching Press. The front of the board is covered in wood design contact paper and clear plastic which is taped at the back. This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
