Bank book for the Magnolia Social Club account at the Alexandria National Bank, Alexandria, VA, for the period May 7, 1949 to April 1, 1954. The front cover is printed with the bank logo and is stamped in red with the account number 1802. The bank book contains typed entries for deposits and withdrawals. The deposits occur throughout the year, but the withdrawals are in late November or early December, reflecting the Magnolia Social Club's function as a community Christmas saving club. A document with handwritten computations was housed inside the bank book. The bank book B2000.03.06a is housed in a protective sleeve with B2000.03.06b. The sleeve is also printed with the bank's logo. |
