Irregularly shaped cardboard display board mounted with five pages from a leaflet entitled, "A Commitment to Multicultural Education" produced by elementary educational publisher Scott Foresman. The pages include color photographic images of a diverse group of children and the text describes the future multicultural educational materials that they will produce and their concept of "The Multicultural Classroom" in which the student, the teacher, and the interactive classroom work together to create a positive, inclusive, and respectful environment. The front of the board is covered in clear plastic and the back is covered in wood design contact paper. This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
