Description |
Rectangular cardboard display board mounted with a sepia toned photographic image of Larry Brown with the text "BROWN IS BEAUTIFUL", and a poster of the painting "Spirit" by James Hillie, which consists of an image of Larry Brown in his Washington Redskins football uniform and coach Vince Lombardi with an image of a man in a Green Bay Packers uniform in the background. The board is also mounted with a printed document that explains the Hillie poster and notes that prints of the painting are available from the Redskins Locker Room with a donation made to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Fund. The document, image and poster are all affixed to the board with blue tape. The front and back of the board are covered in wood design contact paper and the front is also covered in clear plastic. This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
