Rectangular cardboard display board mounted with four posters entitled, "Jose Ramos Valdez", "Irene Tovar", "Julian Nava", and "James Plunkett". The posters consist of a black and white drawing and brief biography in Spanish and English in black text on a white background. The poster for Nava is from a set of posters entitled, "A Portfolio of Outstanding Americans of Mexican Descent", and the posters for Valdez, Tovar, and Plunkett are from a set entitled, "Chicanos Y Chicanas Prominentes". Both sets were produced by the Educational Consortium of America. The left and right sides of the board are edged with blue tape. The front of the board is covered in clear plastic and the back is covered in wood design contact paper. This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
