Letter from W.V. Cox, A.S. Perham, and Lewis Cass White of the Fort Stevens Lincoln Association to unknown 'comrade'. The writers detail the most recent GAR encampment, and talk of the articles in various papers written about the exercises held. The writers then ask for donations to fund the boulder memorial to mark where Lincoln stood during the Battle of Fort Stevens. Both pages of the letter are written on the back of the 'Fort Stevens and the Lincoln Boulder' memo. |
