Description |
Rectangular cardboard display board mounted with a poster advertising a stamp issued by the U. S. Postal Service in 1985. The poster consists of a slate and chalk background with the word "EDUCATOR" in chalk on the slate. In the foreground is an enlarged color image of the stamp for "Mary McLeod Bethune", part of the Black Heritage Series. The stamp was available after March 6, 1985. The poster is affixed to the board with tape. The front of the board is covered in clear plastic which is taped on the back. This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
