Description |
Rectangular cardboard display board mounted with three separate sections of cardboard each with a document. The documents on the left and right are on orange paper with letterhead for the National/International Cultural Exhibits (NICE) at the top. The document on the left is entitled, "DIVERSITY" and describes the importance of awareness and respect of cultural diversity. On the right the document is entitled, "DIVERSITY BANNER" and describes the significance of the imagery in the diversity banner drawing. In the center of the board is a drawing of interlocking lines in red, white, brown, yellow, and black, with the text "DIVERSITY / STRENGTH / IN / UNITY / DIVERSITY BANNER". The board is edged with red tape. The front and back of the board are covered in wood design contact paper and the front is also covered in clear plastic. This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
