Two pages of 50 United States Postal Service 32c Kwanzaa stamps with a first day cancellation mark for Los Angeles CA, on October 22, 1997 in a USPS envelope. One of the pages of stamps (a) is signed in black ink by the artist who designed them, Synthia Saint James. The second page (b) is unsigned. The glassine envelope (c) is printed with the blue text, "COLLECT U.S. COMMEMORATVES / THEY'RE FUN / THEY'RE HISTORY / THEY'RE AMERICA." The donor was given these stamps in recognition on his work on the first day of issue ceremony planning and organization. |
