Rectangular cardboard display board mounted with a document entitled, "Black Americans in U.S. Wars". The document consists of a list of battles on the right from Lexington to Guadalcanal and on the left a black and white copy of the Currier and Ives print entitled, "The Gallant Charge of the Fifty Fourth Massachusetts (Colored) Regiment". The front of the board is covered in clear plastic and the back is covered in black paper. This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
