Color photograph of two girls dressed in swimsuits at the Cameron Street Pool, by Carol Siegel, 1985-1986. The photograph shows a girl dressed in a purple bathing suit with red, pink, purple and blue stripes across the front holding a towel around her waist. The second girl is dressed in a black and white bathing suit with a towel around her waist. She stands slightly behind the girl in the front and is combing the girl's hair. This photograph was taken by Siegel as part of a project, grant-funded by the Alexandria Commission on the Arts, to document the Parker-Gray Historic District's Black community, 1985-1986. |
