Description |
Irregularly shaped cardboard display board entitled, "March Is National Women's History Month" and mounted with five posters of American women. Each poster consists of a color photographic image with text below on a green background. The woman's name is in red text, and a brief biography is in black text. There are posters for Rachel Carson, Katharine Hepburn, Billie Jean King, Barbara Jordan, and Maria Tallchief. The posters are part of a series entitled, "20th Century American Women" produced by The Instructor Publications, Inc. The front of the board is covered in wood design contact paper and clear plastic which is taped at the back of the board. This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
