Description |
Typewritten letter from W.V. Cox, Aurestus S. Perham, and Lewis Cass White of the Fort Stevens Lincoln Association to the Commandant at Walter Reed Hospital. The Association is asking to remove a boulder from the hospital grounds thats in a small brook behind 'Old Cameron' house. The Association explains they have the funds for the removal, and they will pay for any damage done to the grounds. They hope to use the boulder to mark the spot at Fort Stevens where Lincoln came under fire during the battle. |
