Description |
Rectangular cardboard display board mounted with a poster entitled, "The Deportations". The poster consists of a black and white photographic image of a group of people, many carrying bags or bundles, with their hands raised. In the background are Nazi soldiers carrying guns. There is a caption at the bottom of the poster which begins, "With the outbreak of the War, Nazi policy shifted from persecution to intern- / ment of Jews in concentration camps…" The title is in white text on a black background at the bottom of the poster. The poster is part of an exhibition series on the Holocaust that was produced and distributed by the Anti-Defamation League of B'nai B'rith. The poster is marked number "11". The front of the board is covered in clear plastic which is taped at the back. The board is constructed from two sections of cardboard taped together. This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
