Rectangular cardboard display board mounted with the front cover and copies of eight pages from the book "Portraits of Asian-Pacific Americans" by Kim Sakamoto Steidl. The cover consists of a color photographic image of framed photographs and mementos. The eight interior pages are on yellow paper with black printed text and line drawings. They consist of descriptive text, a map of the Pacific Rim, portraits, and activities. The pages are entitled, "The Pacific Rim", "ACTIVITY", "Events in Asian-Pacific American History", "Connie Chung", "TELEVISION NEWS MAKERS", "Asian-Pacific Americans in Sports", and "Michael Chang". The front of the board is covered in wood design contact paper and clear plastic which is taped at the back. Handwritten in black ink on the back of the board is "1". This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
