Commemorative folder with program insert for the first day of issue ceremony of the United States Postal Service Kwanzaa stamp, at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, on October 22, 1997. The folder (a) is printed with information about the history and celebration of Kwanzaa. There is a 32c Kwanzaa stamp affixed inside the folder and it is stamped with a first day cancellation mark. The program (b) lists the order of events at the ceremony and honored guests. The artwork on the card folder was designed by the artist Synthia Saint James, who also designed the Kwanzaa stamp. The donor was given this program and folder in recognition on his work on the ceremony planning and organization. |
