Color photograph entitled, "Children on the Corner of Queen and Fayette Streets," by Carol Siegel, 1985. The photograph shows five children dressed in summer clothes at a grass street corner at an intersection. The SGT. Restaurant is in the background, across the intersection from the children. The photograph is housed in a silver-colored metal frame with a glass front and a hanging wire attached at the back. This photograph was taken by Siegel as part of a project, grant-funded by the Alexandria Commission on the Arts, to document the Parker-Gray Historic District's Black community, 1985-1986. |
