Rectangular cardboard display board mounted with a poster with a drawing of a group of men and two sepia toned photographic images of a group of men and women standing on the steps of the hospital. The caption below the image identified the groups in the photographs as the Faculty of the College of Medicine ca. 1940s-1950s and for 1952 and lists their names. Below the image is the title in black text "A Legacy of Excellence: / The Mission of / Howard University Hospital". The background of the poster is cream. A white round sticker with "8" in black is affixed to the poster on the bottom right corner. The front of the board is covered in clear plastic and the back is covered in wood design contact paper. This poster is part of a series on Howard University Hospital. This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
