Color photograph entitled, "'Coon' Brown & Booker T. Bass at Home on West Street," by Carol Siegel, c1985. The photograph is of two elderly men sitting on a bench outside a building. One of the men is holding a pipe, while the other has his arms crossed. The photograph is housed in a silver-colored metal frame with a glass front and a hanging wire attached at the back. This photograph was taken by Siegel as part of a project, grant-funded by the Alexandria Commission on the Arts, to document the Parker-Gray Historic District's Black community, 1985-1986. |
