Description |
Rectangular cardboard display board mounted with a poster advertising the traveling exhibition entitled, "Black Theatre in Photographs" by the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, at the New York Public Library. The poster has a cream background, black text, and a central black and white image of Harold Nicholas, Ruby Hall, Fayard Nicholas, and Pearl Bailey on stage in "St. Louis Woman", dated 1946. The front of the board is covered in clear plastic which is taped at the back of the board. This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
