Newspaper clipping, The Evening Star September 30, 1915 Article titled 'Tells of Lincoln's Fort Stevens Visit' is a recounting of the Battle of Fort Stevens by Dr. George T. Stevens of the 77th Regiment at the reunion of the 6th Army Corps. Dr. Stevens escorted Mrs. Lincoln from carriage and stayed with her until the battle necessitated his presence in the hospital. Article has accompanying picture of General Horatio G. Wright in front of his tent at Fort Stevens. |
