Bank book for the Magnolia Social Club account at the Alexandria National Bank, Alexandria, VA, for the period January 18, 1945 to August 20, 1947. The front cover is printed with the bank logo and is stamped in red with the account number 1488, which has been crossed out and replaced with the handwritten text "6430 Continued." The interior list Samuel A. Tucker as manager of the Magnolia Saving Club. The bank book contains handwritten entries for deposits and withdrawals. The deposits occur throughout the year, but the withdrawals are in early December, reflecting the Magnolia Social Club's function as a community Christmas saving club. |
