Irregularly shaped cardboard display board mounted with four posters entitled, "Ronaldo Henriquez", "Raul R. Morin", "Chicanos Y Chicanas Prominentes", and "A Portfolio of Outstanding Americans of Mexican Descent". The first two posters consist of a black and white drawing and brief biography in Spanish and English in black text on a white background. The third poster is an introduction page to the collection of posters entitled, "Chicanos Y Chicanas Prominentes". It consists of black text on a white background and includes a foreword by Ernesto Galarza, instructions to teachers and a list of the names of those included in the set. The fourth poster is an introduction page to the collection of posters entitled, "A Portfolio of Outstanding Americans of Mexican Descent". It consists of black text on a white background and includes an introduction to the set and a list of the names of those included. The poster for Henriquez is from the "Chicanos Y Chicanas Prominentes" set and the poster for Morin is from the "A Portfolio of Outstanding Americans of Mexican Descent" set. Both sets were produced by the Educational Consortium of America. The left side of the board is edged in black tape. The front of the board is covered in clear plastic and the back is covered in wood design contact paper. This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
