Description |
Two rectangular foamcore display boards hinged together with tape. The left board is mounted with an enlarged copy of a black and white photograph of Earl Lloyd in his Washington Capitols basketball team uniform. It also includes the text, "YOU ARE INVITED". The right board is black printed text on a white background and is a short biography of Earl Lloyd. There is a small image of a basketball player in the bottom right corner of the board. Both boards have a black and white image of the Hopkins House logo at the top of the board. Earl Lloyd visited Hopkins House in 2008 and these boards were probably made for that event. Both boards are edged in blue tape and covered in clear plastic which is taped on the back of the boards. This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
