Description |
Rectangular cardboard display board mounted with a poster entitled, "Gifts of Ancient China". At the bottom of the poster is a timeline from 1766 B.C. and 1279 A.D. and the remainder of the poster consists of color drawings and text describing some developments during that time period. The central image is a map of China and the headings on the poster are "Porcelain", "Silks", "Astronomy", "Literature / and Philosophy", "The Seismograph", "Medicine", "Metallurgy", "Block Printing", and "Invention of Paper". The poster was produced by Creative Teaching Press, Inc. The front of the board is covered in wood design contact paper and clear plastic which is taped at the back. This display board was created and used by Carlton A. Funn Sr. as part of his exhibition, "The History and Culture of Minorities", later named "National / International Cultural Exhibits ("NICE"). |
